Reflect and Connect

chirripó mountains, rivas, costa rica 11.18.26 - 11.24.26

Journey through the jungles of Costa Rica into the foothills of the Chirripó Mountains to Finca Mia. Surrounded by lush gardens and a mineral rich river, every element of this community has been cultivated with intention. With an expansive open-air yoga deck, private cabinas constructed of natural elements, and fresh real local food, each moment is an invitation to connect with nature.

And then there is the Maloca - the earth womb where we sit in sacred circle to remember how to come home to ourselves.

In stillness, we remember who we are. Through nourishment, we give ourselves permission to be cared for and remember our inherent value. Through song, we find our voice. With our tears, we release old stories. Through creativity, we remember how to play. In community, we remember that Life is the Ceremony.

This time together is an opportunity to get quiet and REFLECT on the journey that has brought you to this moment. To embody a sense of deep gratitude for your unique path. And to remember that even though we each have our own way to walk, we don’t have to do it alone.

This is also a time to CONNECT - with nature and each other. It has been our experience that the most meaningful and lasting forms of healing take place within the safety of community. When you can offer as well as receive support - that’s when the magic happens - and that’s when your individual journey amplifies the collective transformation.

When you feel called to ceremony, it is important to TRUST. Trust your own gut feeling. Trust that all your needs will be met. Trust that everything you need is already inside you - maybe you just need to get quiet and still enough to remember.

Let us go on this journey together.

a little bit about your space holders

Michele and Ian welcome you to their home to experience harmony, community, and a deep connection with nature as you walk the path home to yourself. Michele studied closely with her teacher for many years before accepting the invitation to lead these sacred song circles and she does so with full embodiment of the energy of this calling. Now, over 20 years later, the love and support that one feels in her presence can hardly be separated from the ceremony itself. Michele and her team are here to serve and support you on this journey, from the moment you answer the call until long after you return home, offering regular virtual integration circles and sustaining support.

J Miles and Rebekah Wood have been on a collective spiritual journey through indigenous ceremony for several years and are deeply honored to hold this sacred container for you. During our time together, J will lead daily meditation and Yoga practices and we will both be present to support you leading up to, during, and following ceremony.

It is our desire to create a better world and we believe this can only be accomplished through personal healing which leads to collective transformation. We believe that the deepest forms of healing happen in community when all your needs are met and you can be fully present to show up for yourself and each other. We are truly humbled to be able to support you on this journey and it is our hope that this space allows you to experience transformation that permeates into all areas of your life.

Chef Steve Constantine has been walking a dedicated spiritual and shamanic path for over 15 years; working intimately with spirit, medicinal plants & foods as medicine.

Chef Steve is honored to return to Finca Mia and participate in the creation of this healing container. It has been his calling to build conscious community and create safe spaces for healing & our highest vibration to emerge, by reconnecting with our divine nature.

In his presence, you will be able to feel the vibrant energy, intention, and love that Chef Steve pours into each meal & moment. His mission is to create enriching experiences that go far beyond the plate, nourishing your body, mind and soul!

a little bit about Finca Mia

Finca Mia was born from a dream, a calling to live in harmony with nature, creativity, and the soul.

Our hosts, Michele and Ian began visiting Costa Rica in the early 1990s and eventually moved to the Chirripó mountains in 2005. They were seeking a slower rhythm and a deeper connection with nature, themselves, and each other. Here, they lovingly raised two boys on the farm. What began as a personal journey of unwinding from life’s busyness soon blossomed into something much greater.

Finca Mia grew organically from love, starting as a sanctuary for family and friends, and then expanding to accommodate larger gatherings, celebrations, and soulful connections. As the community grew, so did the finca, with new cabins built to embrace the unfolding of each moment.

Over time, a retreat center naturally emerged, shaped by the hearts of those who gathered and the hands of the local community that contributed to its construction. This evolution also led to meaningful community projects, such as la Escuelita Finca Mia, a Waldorf-style school founded by Michele, Ian, and two other local families with the aim of providing scholarships to support local children as well as opportunities for local artists, wellness practitioners, and creators to share their talents.

At Finca Mia, we are invited to be part of the family, living in harmony with nature, creativity, and the soul.
