Inner Dimensions of the Self

Meditation and Pranayama Immersion

Saturday, July 26, 9:00AM - 12:00PM at Living Water Community Center

The Yoga Sutras describe the practice of Pranayama - the regulation of our inhale and exhale - as a way to destroy the veil that covers our inner Light. It is a practice that reveals to us "who" we really are - BEings of a Divine and energetic nature.

The breath is our gateway to inner knowing. We have within us a tool that allows us to stay connected to the present moment with each inhale and each exhale.

We literally have the capacity to restore balance to our system and unlock our full human potential by harnessing the power of breath.

Prana {life force} + ayama {extension}

~ Asana ~ Pranayama ~ Meditation ~

“That [firm posture] being acquired, the movements of inhalation and exhalation should be controlled. This is pranayama.

The modifications of the life-breath are either external, internal or stationary. They are to be regulated by space, time and number and are either long or short.

There is a fourth kind of pranayama that occurs during concentration on an internal or external object.

As its result, the veil over the inner Light is destroyed.

And the mind becomes fit for concentration.”

- The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali

Book 2, Sutras 49-53
